University of Arizona opens groundbreaking TIME Lab to link past and present

An ancient signpost: Minute fossils tell big story about arthropod evolution

A research team led by the U of A found that the brain of the extinct creature Jianfengia is very similar to that of living crustaceans, placing it in the ancestry of insects and crustaceans, not spiders and their relatives, as had been previously assumed.
