Imaging interlayer exciton superfluidity in a 2D semiconductor heterostructure

Jan. 7, 2025

Prof. John Schaibley's group in the Department of Physics published a paper in Science Advances demonstrating a superfluid in an atomically thin semiconductor device. Superfluid states of matter offer the possibility of transporting energy and information without dissipation, which can be used to make high speed and low energy consumption electronics.
