At the College of Science, we believe that every student has the potential to change the world if given the chance. In pursuit of that goal, we bring together expert faculty in disciplines at the core of scientific inquiry and education — and we make their knowledge accessible to students from all backgrounds.

As the largest college at The University of Arizona, we help students forge a path that is uniquely their own. There is no one-size-fits-all approach here — we are comprised of award-winning departments, schools and research units, spanning a variety of scientific disciplines, and our advisors work closely with students to support each person’s unique educational needs.

Who We Are

From tinkerers and biologists to astronomers and computer whizzes, we are innovators and seekers at heart. Whether you’re a passionate environmentalist, a doctor in training or an inventor with patents pending, you’ll find your community here.

The College of Science is home to a faculty of world-class researchers and teachers who are at the top of their fields in creating new knowledge and disseminating it to the next generation of scientists. Our faculty are internationally known for their discoveries and contributions to science as well as for innovations in how science can be better taught to reach the widest range of students to support their own journey to discovery.

Students will have the opportunity to be guided by the brightest minds and be challenged to come up with creative solutions to the world’s most pressing problems. And with a student population that’s diverse and inclusive, it’s easy to feel right at home, no matter where you come from or what your interests might be.
