Dear students, faculty, staff, and friends,

It is thrilling to see the campus abuzz with activity. Welcome back students!

This academic year promises to be exciting. We have been busy developing our strategic plan for the College of Science, that includes bolstering our efforts around inclusive excellence, building on the ways we support our students to increase their success, and identifying new opportunities in research. These efforts will allow us to better communicate the value of the College of Science’s academic programs and research in solving critical problems, feeding human curiosity, and improving lives. We look forward to sharing our strategic plan over the course of the academic year.

The College of Science and the University of Arizona communities are vibrant and enable diverse perspectives and creativity to fuel the next big wave of ingenuity. Students have opportunities to work with and learn from world class scholars in the College to participate in exploration, discovery, and innovation at the forefront of the sciences. We encourage every student to explore research opportunities and participate in our many science-related clubs and activities to tap into the adventure of being a scientist. As a scientist, you will play a vital role in understanding our world and the universe beyond and reshaping our society.
