Susan Bridgewater

Manager, Faculty Affairs

Susan Bridgewater is the College of Science Manager of Faculty Affairs. Before this role, she held various positions across campus. Most recently, she served as a Senior Program Coordinator in the College of Medicine and as Academic Coordinator in the Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences department. Over the years, she has developed a passion for higher education and a commitment to supporting the University of Arizona mission and its core values. She is thankful for the opportunity to work alongside Dr. Brad Story, Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs, and the rest of the Administration team, in supporting College of Science faculty, staff, and students.

Born and raised in New Jersey, Susan headed west to the University of Michigan where she earned a B.S. in Economics and commissioned into the Army. In 2015, she received orders sending her to Tucson to serve as an Assistant Professor of Military Science at UArizona. After falling in love with the university community, she left full-time military service to begin her civilian career in higher education. Today, she continues her service part-time in the US Army Reserve where she holds the rank of Major and serves as a Battalion Executive Officer.

Susan is dedicated to personal and professional development. She earned an M.S. in Engineering Management from the Missouri University of Science and Technology and is currently enrolled in the Eller MBA program.
