Laura Shaw
Laura Shaw has over 30 years of award-winning marketing experience, including strategic planning, fundraising, advertising, communications and community/public relations for economic development, media and private sector organizations.
In the community, she serves as an Executive Committee and Board member of Visit Tucson; member of University of Arizona, Eller College of Management National Advisory Board and College of Science Advisory Board; Board member of the MAP Dashboard; Executive Committee/Board member of the Downtown Tucson Partnership; and Past President/Officer of Executive Connection. Past community involvement includes Executive Committee of the Bioscience Leadership Council of Southern Arizona; Tucson Fellow: The Op-Ed Project; Board member of Imago Dei Middle School; Carondelet Health Network Strategic Planning Committee; the Barber Fund for Civility, Respect and Understanding; Governing Board member/graduate of Greater Tucson Leadership; and Board member/PR Co-chair of the Catalina Foothills School District Foundation.
In 2021, Shaw was named as a Woman Leading the Region by BizTucson magazine. In 2010, she was named a “Woman of Influence” by Inside Tucson Business and in 2011 was recognized as one of 11 “Ordinary Women Doing Extraordinary Things” by the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management.
Shaw holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English/Business Minor from Vanderbilt University.
