Heidi Barnett

Heidi Barnett joined Roche Tissue Diagnostics in 2011 as a systems integration technical contributor in product development. Since then she has held a number of technical, project, and team leadership roles in Systems Integration, Assay & Reagent Development, and Research. In October 2021, Heid was appointed Chapter Lead of Pathology Lab Research and Early Development (RED) and the co-chair of the Roche Diagnostics Research Portfolio Committee for Pathology-Oncology. She is a member of the Global RDS Research Leadership team reporting to Dr. Thomas Albert.  Heidi serves the Pathology Customer area business as part of the Strategic Portfolio Committee.

Prior to joining Roche, Ms. Barnett held a variety of research and research management roles at academic institutions including Georgetown University and Columbia University before joining The University of Arizona Department of Geosciences where she studied global biogeochemical cycles and managed a stable isotope & trace element analysis laboratory for more than a decade. 

Heidi holds a B.Sc. in Biology from Georgetown University, a M.Sc. in Geosciences from The University of Arizona, an Executive MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology. She has completed the Stanford University Graduate School of Business program in Managing Teams for Innovation and Success.
