University of Arizona hosts inaugural Quantum Research Initiative Workshop

John Schaibley, associate professor of physics and optical sciences and ORP Faculty Fellow for Quantum, hosted a quantum research initiative workshop on Dec. 16 in the Grand Challenges Research Building.

The event brought together faculty from across the University of Arizona to present their current quantum research efforts, exchange ideas, and highlight unique expertise and facilities available on campus. Through these discussions, participants identified core areas of strength in UA’s quantum research portfolio and outlined strategic opportunities for collaboration and growth, with the goal of advancing interdisciplinary research and positioning the university at the forefront of quantum science and technology worldwide.
