A native of Oahu, Hawaii, Tyler is a promising young astrophysicist who has collaborated with world-renowned scholars during his time at the University of Arizona.

NASA's DART spacecraft will slam into an asteroid this month, and scientists will study how the impact affects its orbit around a larger, companion asteroid discovered by UArizona researchers in 1996.

Kevin Strongman, a recent graduate from the College of Science, received his degree in Hydrology and Atmospheric Sciences in 2021. Now a full-time employee as a meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Tucson, Strongman has been able to take his experiences from the University of Arizona and apply them to his career.

The College of Science is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month by featuring some of the College’s outstanding faculty with Hispanic roots. First up is Dr. Vicente Talanquer, a University Distinguished Professor in the Chemistry and Biochemistry department.

Colin J Potter, a Tucson native and 2018 graduate with a double major in Neuroscience & Cognitive Science and Molecular & Cellular Biology, had no second thoughts about continuing his education post-graduation.

The microcampus's initial curriculum will include the Indigenous Governance Program courses jointly offered by the James E. Rogers College of Law and Native Nations Institute, with plans to expand in the future. Courses will begin this fall.

Elisa Rodriguez, a Tucson native and 2015 graduate, studied Psychology as an undergraduate in the College of Science and went on to get a Masters of Science in Professional Counseling in 2021.
