Major & Minor
Major: Astronomy
Minor: Math & Physics

How’d you choose your major/minor?
I chose Astronomy because it was the only field of science I felt was able to truly capture the chaotic nature of my young imaginative mind. The sense of vastness, wonder, and endless possibility had me addicted! Truly the foundation of ourselves and our place in the universe can be explored in this field. Answers to age old philisophical questions, advanced physics in action, extreme environments for biological life to flourish, chemical processes evolving other worlds are all held on the stage of our universe in action. I always saw Astronomy as a field of science to unite all these studies together, and as a catalyst to unite humanity itself as we dare to explore the heavens!
What’s your favorite spot on campus?
My favorite spot on campus has to be the sand volleyball courts next to the global center, plenty of nights were spent having fun with my friends there!
What has been the highlight of your college career thus far?
The true highlight of college has been the ability to invest in people. Humans are complex creatures, all unique with interesting life experiences. The ability to spend this time exploring my peers and friends around me has been so eye-opening! It is this investment in people that has allowed me to realize the value and benefit in the development of myself and my community. I can't wait to continue this throughout my college career, and take these experiences forward in my next stage of life!
