Scott Coleman

Director, Marketing and Communications

Scott Coleman serves as Director of Marketing & Communications for the University of Arizona College of Science, where he leads the college's strategic communications, marketing, branding, media relations, digital content, and public engagement efforts. Working closely with the Office of the Dean and leadership across 14 academic departments, he develops and executes communication strategies that elevate the college's reputation, showcase groundbreaking research, and support student, faculty, alumni, and donor engagement.

In his role, Scott oversees a broad portfolio of initiatives, including website strategy and content management, publications, social media, storytelling, media outreach, event promotion, and institutional messaging. He also co-manages the College of Science Lecture Series, one of the university's premier public outreach programs, helping connect thousands of community members each year with leading researchers and scientific discoveries.

Before joining the College of Science, Scott served as Marketing & Communications Manager at Salpointe Catholic High School, where he led the school's communications and marketing efforts. Earlier in his career, he worked in television and digital media, including roles in news and content production, where he developed a passion for storytelling, audience engagement, and investigative journalism. He is a proud graduate of the University of Arizona.
