Majors
Astronomy and Physics

How’d you choose your major/minor?
I chose astronomy because I spent most of my childhood going to Lowell Observatory, even volunteering there one night a week in high school. I chose physics because I had a great teacher in high school who helped me see the connections between astronomy and physics, and seeing a woman in physics helped me see myself as a physicist. Also, the overlap between the two class-wise is very high so it's possible to do both.

What’s your favorite spot on campus?
My favorite spot on campus is the turtle pond because sometimes you need a break in nature and the turtles will always be there for you to enjoy no matter how you're feeling on a given day.

What has been the highlight of your college career thus far?
My NASA Space Grant Internship my sophomore year, where I researched science literacy and science misinformation. That project helped me decide that I enjoy science education research and that I want to pursue it further.
