How’d you choose your major/minor?
I've always loved the sciences but was never drawn towards one specific field until I took psychology in high school. I loved that it focused on people and was excited to see that the BS involved taking biology and chemistry courses so I would get to keep up those. I added the chem minor because I am going pre-med and will be taking those classes, and the content within HDFS aligns with psychology but tends to look at it from different lenses, so I thought that would be cool.
What’s your favorite spot on campus?
My favorite spot on campus is the fifth floor of the Science and Engineering Library. I have spent many, many days there studying, and I can sit along the wall with a nice view outside, use one of the rolly whiteboards at a big table, or book one of the study rooms for more privacy, and it never feels too crowded to me.
What has been the highlight of your college career thus far?
My highlight would be going to Spain this past summer for the Global MedCats program. It was such an incredible time that exposed me to so many new experiences, ideas, foods, etc.
