Major & Minor
Majors: Physics & Astronomy
Minor: Math

Hometown
Gilbert, AZ

How’d you choose your major/minor?
From a young age I was very interested in the laws of nature, studying nature to myself has incredible amounts of meaning. There is nothing I would rather do than be immersed by nature, and Physics allows me to delve extremely deep into Physical/Astronomical topics, learning about objects and truly being able to explore. Physics/Astronomy allows me to fulfill my desire for exploration and overflowing curiosity about how the natural world works. I also study math as it is the language that Physics uses to describe natural laws, which is worthy of its own study.

What’s your favorite spot on campus?
My Favorite spots on Campus are the Green areas along Park avenue near University and the Physics building. I am always commuting through this area, either to the Physical and Atmospheric Sciences Building, or to Steward Observatory, so I love the trees, benches, walking dogs, and picnic areas scattered between University and the Physics Building. The dense trees really bring you into the natural world, perfect for physics.

What has been the highlight of your college career thus far?
My highlight of college has been being able to truly be on my own and make my own decisions. Everyday in college you are blessed with huge amounts of free time, where you are able to explore who you are on your own, and who you want to be. I'm very thankful college has provided me the opportunity and skills to make the most out of my day, and want to not only be present in the real world but enjoy what I'm doing.
