Major & Minor
Major: Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences
Minor: American Sign Language

Hometown
Gilbert, AZ

How’d you choose your major/minor?
After discovering the career path of Speech Language Pathology my junior year of high school, I knew right away that was what I wanted to do. The University of Arizona immediately drew my attention, it offered countless opportunities within the major and within the college of science as a whole. This major will set me up to eventually become a Speech Therapist, where I can work with pediatrics to improve language accessibility, my minor in American Sign Language, will also support my desire to bridge communication with many different groups of people.

What’s your favorite spot on campus?
My favorite spot on campus is the outside courtyard areas in the Student Success District. I love to be able to spend time outside studying in a quiet, calm area that has many resources nearby like the Weaver Science Engineering Library and the Main Library.

What has been the highlight of your college career thus far?
My highlight of college so far has been all the different communities I have gained access to during my time as a student at the University of Arizona. I have welcomed so many different friends and support circles into my life, through my major classes, greek life, Arizona Ambassadors, the Deaf community and so much more. All these extracurriculars have helped this big campus to feel small, welcoming, and interconnected.
