How’d you choose your major/minor?
From the beginning of my university experience, I knew my goal was to get into research related broadly to humans. After trying my first wet lab experience, I quickly realized that I was not interested in being in that type of environment for the rest of my life. However, I still was interested in research. Then I tried out a psychology class and fell in love with the concepts. Once I integrated the field with a health psychology research lab and fell in love, I knew I found my major.

What’s your favorite spot on campus?
My favorite spot on campus is the psychology building, especially the SuRRF lab. I will often joke about how I feel more alive and at home there than in even my own bedroom (and I probably spend more time there than in my apartment too).

What has been the highlight of your college career thus far?
I have had many amazing experiences at the University of Arizona that have helped to shape and recognize not only my future but who I am as a person as well. One of these experiences was an internship as a Psychology Peer Mentor, which has allowed me to co-facilitate a class and connect with around 30 freshmen psych majors. Another has been helping to collect and translate research articles on exposure therapy to help bridge the gap between researchers and laypeople.
