Major
Neuroscience & Cognitive Science

Hometown
Tucson, AZ

How’d you choose your major/minor?
My decision to pursue a neuroscience and cognitive science degree was because of my drive to understand the cellular and molecular mechanisms for why people make certain decisions and how degenerative diseases can alter those mechanisms. After exploring a few neuroscience courses at the UA, I knew my interests in behavior and molecular studies of the brain had aligned. I hope to be able to aid future students, scientists, and friends in understanding the complexities of our own brain systems.

What’s your favorite spot on campus?
My favorite spot on campus is a 5th-floor study room in the Science and Engineering Library it has a large window that overlooks the mall of my second favorite spot Heritage Hill, a small grassy hill where you can sit under a tree and enjoy the cooler months.

What has been the highlight of your college career thus far?
A huge college highlight is being able to work on two large-scale projects within my research lab and become a TA for one of my favorite classes NROS 307. I have been able to be a mentor to my peers and receive advice and feedback in both aspects of research and academia which has been such an amazing opportunity for me to learn and grow.
