Astronomers have discovered an enormous cloud of gas and dust, containing the fundamental building block of stars and planets. Dubbed Eos, the molecular cloud is one of the largest single structures in the sky.

Dr. Machatha holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, an M.A. in Chemistry, and a B.Sc. in Chemistry, all from the University of Arizona.
