Outstanding Seniors in the College of Science: Hongji Wei
This spring, each department in the University of Arizona's College of Science nominated an outstanding senior who went above and beyond during their time as a Wildcat. We are pleased to share their stories as they reflect on their time at UArizona. Our next Outstanding Senior is Hongji Wei in the Department of Physics.
Hongji Wei
Department: Physics
College of Science: Why did you choose your area of study?
Wei: I chose Physics and Astronomy because I am fascinated by how the world works.
COS: Tell us about a class or research project you really enjoyed.
Wei: I enjoy doing research in general. I have done two theoretical projects on gravity. One of them went as expected and the other one gave me a surprise.
COS: What is one specific memory from your time at UA that you'll cherish forever?
Wei: Biking up Mount Lemmon is a great memory for me. I really love the view.
COS: What is next for you after graduation?
Wei: I will continue studying theoretical physics in graduate school.
