Nimroz Ortiz-Diaz

Nimroz Ortiz-Diaz is the Career Coach for Mathematics and Computational Sciences, and Earth, Physical, and Space Sciences for the College of Science. She joined the University of Arizona in 2019 as a Global Enrollment Counselor for International Admissions. As part of that role, she oversaw recruitment efforts for South Asia; this included working with prospective international students and guiding them throughout the application/enrollment process. She ensured students felt supported and had all the relevant information to make an informed decision about moving abroad to study at the University of Arizona. 

Many of the skills she has gained through her time at International Admissions supports her direct work with students at the College of Science, guiding them through the career and professional development process. Ortiz-Diaz also has prior experience working in the field of career & professional development and as a Federal and Provincial contract worker for programs that provided life & employability skills training to individuals from all walks of life. 

She is passionate about this field and is excited to help students in Higher Education reach their professional goals.
