Frankie Kolb joined the College of Science Administration team in January 2010. She has served in various roles within the Administration team, including managing the Dean’s Office, coordinating Graduate Student Awards, and managing the Lecture Series volunteer team. Kolb has also served as the Alumni Affairs Manager, bringing alumni engagement activities to various chapters throughout the United States in partnership with the UArizona Alumni Association. During this time, she also managed the graduation and undergraduate awards ceremonies in the Fall and Spring, and the Annual Honors Convocation ceremony to recognize undergraduate academic distinction. In addition, Ms. Kolb served for many years on the College of Science, Staff Advisory Board.

In April 2020, Kolb was appointed the Manager of Faculty Affairs, where she now works with Associate Dean Brad Story, managing almost all faculty related activities such as promotion & tenure, sabbatical requests, retirement and emeritus status, and annual faculty reviews. She also coordinates faculty awards and recognition and provides support for the College of Science DEI Committee.

Prior to working in Science Administration, Kolb helped manage the Phoenix Mission Science Operations Center (SOC, now the Drake Bldg) in the LPL/Planetary Sciences Department, where she assisted the Principal Investigator and the Phoenix Science Team from 2003-2009.

Kolb received her BA in Theatre from the University of Arizona in 1999.
